Rebafenyi Development Centre alongside the Gauteng Department of Social Development is currently facilitating the Agri-Youth Skills Development Programme 2023, as a means to upskill unemployed youth from the City of Tshwane & Merafong City who have interest in the agricultural sector. Through the programme, Rebafenyi Development Centre is hosting a 6-month accredited training programme for 100 youth in the Hammanskraal, Wedela & Khutsong areas who will be trained on the necessary skills needed in working and establishing business in the Agriculture space.

NQF Level 4 New Venture Creation certificate

Through the programme we are training 50 learners for a NQF Level 2 Plant Production short course that is accredited by AgriSETA. An additional 50 learners wil receive training for a NQF Level 4 New Venture Creation short course accredited by ServicesSETA. Rebafenyi Development Centre is also working with relevant experts and entrepreneurs in the relevant sectors to assist with the growth and development of learners through a handful of mentorship sessions in order to prepare them for the many opportunities that lie within the Agricultural sector.

Our Plant Production learners will be undergoing practical training and learning how to plant and harvest crops, while our New Venture Creation learners business mentorship sessions with entrepreneurs will help groom them in to becoming leading business men and women.

We want to afford our learners opportunities such as job placements, access to resources like vegetable seedlings and tools, access to funding opportunities for their business ventures and accessing supply chain markets to name a few.

We assist learners with company registrations in the form of registering Co-operatives and Private Companies on the CIPC database.

We providing our learners with access to Agricultural land where they can plant large quantities of crops and harvest fresh produce.

We sponsor various tools, machinery, equipment, seedlings and any additional resources students would need for the running of their established businesses.

We provide learners with access to Work-Intergrated Learning platforms, internships and job placements in the available & relevant agriculture career opportunities.
